Hoping to get a nice leg of lamb. Since BH is away on a course ,and won't be back until late, I'm trusted with the Sunday roast for a change. :-) Roasted with rosemary and garlic. Roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, red wine with it.

Would you believe I've never had leg of lamb! My Dad didn't like it so didn't have at home; cooking for myself it would be ridiculous!! But I do love lamb shish kebob!! Tonight will be broiled swordfish steak with herb butter, curried potatoes and baby limas (no fresh peas at market:cry: )

We eat left-over lamb for a few days, since there are only the two of us and Rover. There will be lamb sandwiches here for tea, if I can remember to bake before then. Sunday Roast is so heavy and large that we only eat sandwiches Monday.
You can always freeze it in slices, though. Very good for packed sandwiches.

We had the last of the lamb, slow-cooked with onions, chickpeas, red lentils and tomatoes to a thick stew. Ate that with rice and a just-baked cinnamon roll for afters. Went very well with the grey, drizzly stuff outside.
Rover had the shank after it had been cleaned, so he was happy as well.

Hey - here's an old favourite thread!
We're eating Greek
Tzatsiki and bread for starter, then a Greek salad, with tomatoes, cucumber, pepper and onion from the allotment, feta and olives I had to buy, unfortunately! It'll be ready about 5 minutes after I start throwing it together. I even went to Tesco looking for some retsina to drink with it but no luck - it'll have to be iced ouzo instead!

Mmmm. Retsina. I likie :D Can I come round for dinner DM . . . that sounds just like my kinda chow!!!!

As I have a heap of ironing to do (Balie-cat keeps barfing on my clean tableclothes), and hubby's continuing with building the wall, tonight will be a take away curry. But I don't like the saucy  varieties - so a dry chicken/prawn tikka or a shashlick for me accompanied as ever by sag aloo (potatoes and spinach).

Spicy potato-sallad and leftover, cold roast-chicken. And PYO raspberries for after. The only thing better would have been if Better Half made it, not me. :-D He picked the raspberries, so can't complain.

I'd planned on my usual pizza & salad, but woke up feeling nauseated & whoopsed a few times, so will just eat something very soft and bland, probably a tin of peaches and some milk.
