thought it would be an idea to have one of these threads and add to it, well at dinner times, as we like to have an insight to one and other.......
so tonight we are having beef casserole, with winter vegetables and dumplings, the smell of it cooking right now is driving the cats insane, and then the smell of pudding which is a chocolate sponge, hand made by moi earlier is making the dogs a little to willing to please.
so what are you having for your dinner tonight?

We're having 'griddled cold-smoked salmon fillets on puy lentils with nutmeg-dusted spinach', as a poncy recipe would say! :) It's one of my favourite dishes, minimal preparation, cooked in less than 40 minutes, not much clearing up and it's really yummy (and it's good for you - omega-3 fish oils, low GI and vitamin C and fibre  )
Bon appetit everyone, whether you're having a feast or fish'n'chips (and there's something to be said for both of those)

It can be quite amusing when you have an allotment in full production. People just 'don't see you' as you near them with yet another plastic bag full of beans/tomatoes/lettuce etc!

Well, I've got a few (uncooked) sprouts left, so I'll boil them lightly, mix them with cubed leftover potatoes, pan fry it in a cake, like a higher class bubble & squeak, (!:) !) and pop a couple of fried eggs each on top.
Mmm, mouth watering already!

EmmaG
29-12-2005, 04:46 PM

Honey roasted cashew nuts
Chocolates
Mince Pies
Christmas Cake

last week i did some nice dinners, chicekn n rice with bbq sauce, diced pork stew n dumplings ( one of my fav's) pasta n tuna.
I hate cooking though, so they were all done in the slow cooker, cos u cant really muck it up and it tastes far nicer.

Chicken casserole tonight! Just off to chuck it all in slow cooker in a minute!
