no... ;)

I've not eaten anything other than what I said on here. I've had no bread, no milk, no rice or pasta & not a single potato.

ETA - When I got home from work I told John that I was disappointed about my weight as I had stayed the same.... He then dished up lunch whilst I did "cat stuff"... when I came in, he said I've put you a few potatoes..... I said OK & ate them.... I had steak & a few spuds & lots of veg with gravy.

Smudgley, I have looked back over what you have posted and this is what I have got so far,

5 July

Chicken, cauliflower and broccoli

I am presuming the following

1 Large chicken breast, 2 cups of cauliflower, 1 cup broccoli

This gives

Chicken - 321 calories, 0 carbs
Cauliflower - 61 calories, 11 carbs
Broccoli 43 calories, 8 carbs

Total of 425 calories and 19 carbs

YOU NEED TO UP YOUR CALORIES!

Don't worry about what you have eaten today, but I think something really isn't right, possibly you are not eating enough calories.

If you want to keep track of your foods, fitday is very good- www.Fitday.com (http://www.Fitday.com) and it is free, I know you dont have much time

;) Smudgley, I have looked back over what you have posted and this is what I have got so far,

6 June

lunch - Celery and cheese spread - Can you have a look at the cheese spread and see how many carbs it has, if not what cheese spread was it?

dinner - chicken and celery and cheese

---------

7 - Bacon and fried egg with tinned tomatoes

---------------

8 bacon tinned tomatoes

salad and egg

-----------------------------

Did you eat anything else during these days? I am going to put these values into a programme called fitday (it is online) and see what values I get.

You are being watched  you better own up to the large portions of chip shop chips you eat in the car on the way home :-D ;) - Joke

2.1 g per 100g in the cheese spread.

I can't remember now what I had for all those missing bits on the food log.

It does take a bit of working out to get it right. Think I was a bit like you to start with Smudgley. Not enough calories so the diet didnt work!!!

You dont seem to be eating three meals a day which I think would help you get to your calorie level.

I seem to have two meals a day and maybe a snack to keep everything ticking over nicely.

I am sure I have fitted in more than enough calories with sausage, bacon, egg, tomato for breakfast/lunch and then just now I have had chicken fajita (WITHOUT the fajita!!)

hmmm that looks good Donna :)

I was a bit shocked to read the label on my liver that I got from M&S (calvers liver with sage butter, no sugar in it at all but it had 26g of carb per pack) so I have had a third and OH has had the rest lol

Going to make some low carb icecream later, just done the base for it, cream, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and a tiny bit of sweetener and milk.

EmmaG
08-07-2007, 07:12 PM
Donna did you use a fajita kit of any sort, that looks really good, I fancy that during the week :)

You know me too well Emma!!!

I get the fajita kits, but to be honest if you are doing what I ate then you dont really need the kit as it contains the fajitas which you wont wanna eat (i buy the kits for the kids).

I would just get some chicken, onion and peppers and buy a fajita spice packet from the spice section to make what I did. Or any spice combination would probably work well with it. Very filling too!!

Have some leftover onion and peppers which I might eat cold for lunch tomorrow!

EmmaG
08-07-2007, 07:52 PM
Good idea Donna, I will look out for the spice kits next time I go shopping or I will buy a full kit and get the OH to eat all of the fajitas :)

Mmmm just enjoying my low carb icecream, made enough for two batches and I think I will pop the rest back into the freezer.

Donna
08-07-2007, 09:07 PM
Whats the recipe and how do you make it? Do you need a special machine?

EmmaG
08-07-2007, 09:11 PM
Recipe is for a basic custard

I used cream, couple of egg yolks, granular splenda to taste, tiny bit of milk, vanilla extract heat in a pan until thickened and then popped in my ice cream maker. You can just pop it in the freezer but you would need to mix it every 30 mins to break down any ice crystals and I believe it takes about 5 hours to freeze this way.

Donna
08-07-2007, 09:13 PM
Hmm probably stick to the custard recipe!!! Tis easier and you get to eat it quicker!!!

EmmaG
08-07-2007, 09:15 PM
lol good point!!! you could always make a nice custard recipe make it extra thick and then blend with some ice cubes!!! lol

Well once you have lost more than you have to go it does feel quite good. It shouldn't take you long to lose the other 6 lbs :)

I have found it much easier this time around, very strange, but we have to offices at work and when I go to one, which is twice a week, EVERY time they buy cakes lol so I have been sneeking them back for the OH to eat, so far he has had danish slice, cookie, muffin and carrot cake lol

Well done Emma!! Welcome the "The Nines".

I am still the same. The weight loss is very slow for me for some reason...... it started off falling off but has slowed to one pound a week ...... which is ok, but would of preferred a little bit more.

Emm
14-07-2007, 10:28 AM
well done Donna, Emma and Mags :D

where can you go to find out how much you should weigh? I'm just over 5' 8" and don't know what my ideal weight should be?

I lost 4lbs this week thats 11 lbs in two weeks! but I know its mainly fluid - now comes the hard part!

Donna
14-07-2007, 10:30 AM
I am not sure if there is a site that tells you exactly what you should weigh.... I am only going on what I will feel is the right weight for me....

You could try googling for BMI calculators which give you a better idea of a range for you to fall into.

Emm
14-07-2007, 10:36 AM
okay I found this http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/body_weight/healthy_weight/chart.htm
it gives such a big difference - I guess I'll just keep losing the weight until I feel I'm slim enough  its been that long I can't remember

Thats a good guide... just use that to work out roughly where you are and if you are in the red.. work towards the white area and then you will have a normal weight for your height..

EmmaG
15-07-2007, 12:52 PM
Hi cc22peatree, this is a low carb diet, there are different versions, atkins, kimkins, south beach.

Well I am back to 10 stone!!! lol I think it was more the volume of food I had yesterday rather than the type

yesterday I had

Lunch out
Sausage, ham, mushrooms, 3 plum tomatoes

dinner
M&S Meatballs with low carb pasta

Low carb icecream for dessert

EmmaG
15-07-2007, 12:52 PM
Today I am having

Lunch - sausages and a bag of peanuts

dinner

turkey and bacon with cauflower

Donna
15-07-2007, 01:09 PM
I was out last night and there was a carb loaded buffet!

I didnt each much but tried to find some better options - had cocktail sausages, quiche (not the pastry), ham and cheese roll (but not the roll!) and some peanuts...

Bad news is is that I had tons of Vodka!!!!

Today I have just had a scotch egg (15g carb) and nothing else so far.

Will do weigh in tomorrow.

EmmaG
15-07-2007, 02:14 PM

are you exercising as well? Maybe you just need to increase your exercise amounts to help shift the last few pounds.

I haven't weighed myself yet - too scared LOL I had such a good weight loss at the start I know its going to slow right back to normal now and I don't want to depress myself LOL
