I have to say the one at the front in the yellow dress is fairly creeping me out , but otherwise looks great

Yes, that one is rather spooky looking! And I spy a couple of trolls too!

Well done for selling Shelley - hope you all enjoyed the Chinese banquet!

Re: My stall at the doll fair

The creepy looking doll is a Campbell kid type and should be wearing a Scottish Kilt outfit, not that it would make the poor thing better looking though. Strangely i didn't sell her,lol
Yes Helen i sold a lot of dolls, one being an antique wax one so i made quite a bit of money.
Of course some of it was ploughed back into the collection, lol
Going to try and save the rest of the money for an upcoming Dolly weekend away

Re: My stall at the doll fair

I like troll dolls although would not own one my sister used to have a few when we shared a room.Weird as she is a bit "scared by spooky dolls"
Anyway - I like the doll in the yellow dress she looks friendly now the Princess Diana one I find dubious.

However I have to say Shelley you do put on a good stand/display - such a wide variety.

Re: My stall at the doll fair

Such a wide range of dolls do some people specalize in just one "type" of doll ie one manufacturer or one "range" I suppose they do.

It is an interesting and widespread lifestyle. I am not a collector although I did brush with bells once I had about 3 or 4 and then all of a sudden everyone said "oh Karen collects Bells" and I was head deep in them (slight exageration ) I thought I had sorted that out and then made the same error and brought a couple of paper weights (same issue) although I still have those I did tell people I had stopped. I have not though I just get ones I like. I think, they look lovely in the window with light coming through them I know nothing about them though - they are just tourist ones. I only buy what I like with memories for me. And they are useful for holding paper down too.
