Marathon Sunday

Typed a brilliant daily but miss hit the key. So here I go again, highlights only.

Morning all, lovely day here sunny start, bright, crisp but cold mind you it is early.

Have taken Sal out, the grass was dew laden and now have wet jeans and dog put a machine of washing in, hairdresers at 11 then roast chicken for dinner, out with friends tonight. If it warms up may get into the garden before the hairdressers - maybe not.

Have to look at my suitcase today.

Angie did not see anything as grand as you yesterday on my walk however was followed by a robin then lost him, saw a robin on returning to my car sitting on the post and on returning home a robin on the gate post.....Eileen following me or a overactive imagination this morning.

Pamela hope your day is as nice with your picnic and drive.

Mom and Dad really enjoyed the St Georges day concert last night.

So Angie when are Pip and Kizzy going to work?

And Mrs H the April showers are living up to their name.

Cats Staff how exciting photographs.

Anyhow thats me for now going to look at my case and holiday stuff. See you all later

Did you know yesterday was record shop day.....what was the first record you brought and do you still have vinyl? I liked the covers/sleeves.

Re: Marathon Sunday

Morning Kazz, morning everybody

Well managed to do loads of gloss painting yesterday, 7 door frames, part of staircase (spindles and top rail are oak so they will be left bare) and some skirting.

I think I might have hurt my back in the process, so I might take it easy and have a nice pampering day, Martin and dad are going to go to St Barts to see mum, and I will go during the week,

Might do a bit of cooking/baking later. Dinner will be toad in the hole.

Arthur is laying on the bed with me and Martin and me have discusses getting another cat, he had even looked at the RSPCA website to see what cats there are for re homing.

Have a Good day everybody.

Re: Marathon Sunday

Morning Kazz, Emma and those to come later.

Lovely sunny morning here too, but chilly. Off out with Monty in a while and I'm going to take the camera with me today for Spring flowers - mainly bluebells atm, but there are some wood anemone too. All the larch trees are green again, such a strange conifer.

Hoping to put my runner beans, french beans and peas in the greenhouse this afternoon. Get them off to a good start hopefully! Need to replant some tomato seeds as not that many have germinated. Last year's left over seed never does as well even though it's within the use by date. Also need to clean the bathroom which I have been saying I will do since Friday!

Kizzy and Pip will probably be going to work sometime next week - not quite sure yet, it depends when the lurcher can be brought up here. Will let you all know what happens .................... eeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Being followed by robins, Kazz? Not sure what that means, probably that your day will be full of song .....

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Re: Marathon Sunday

Hello all

I'm sat here watching Nigella Lawson programs.. Oh yummy..

I was supposed to be on my way to a 1 year birthday for a Samoyed called Voodoo, but "cramps" stopped that.

I'm not good company when in pain So today is gonna be a sofa and telly day. Its raining so no need to be outside anyway

Re: Marathon Sunday

Afternoon, after a bit of tidying and pottering in the garden the heavens have just opened so I've come in. A slow Sunday involving, well, not very much for once!

Boys are recommencing swimming lessons today but at a later session both having gone up a level I still have Monday and Tuesday at home with them as they don't re-start school until Wednesday

I have return visit with Fifi to the vet tomorrow; her back legs are extremely unsteady . . . I'll probably start a separate thread tomorrow once I know a little more. Needless to say we are both very concerned about her.

Karen in answer to your question, yes i still have lot's of vinyl singles and LPS, however have nothing to play them on. My first single that i bought was Storm in a teacup, first LP was Souled Out. What was yours ?
Jeanette hope your better soon, pity you had to miss the party, i grew up with a wonderful Samoyed, Ruskie.
Emma, good luck finding another little cat.
Yola, hope Fifi goes on ok at the vets tomorrow
Angie, just off to look at your thread
Went to a wedding yesterday, our neice, it was a lovely service and celebration.
Dogs have been a walk around the nature reserve and Jerry has spent some time in the garden whilst the dogs were kept in the living room.
