Afternoon Pamela, Kazz and others to pop in later. Just finished coffee after getting back from a nice walk with OH and Monty. Just beat the rain. I am popping out again in a while to go to the garden centre for some grit and the local shop for a few things. Saw bluebells out in the woods this morning, buzzards flying and a couple of deer but they were upwind and Monty didn't catch their scent. Kizzy and Pip are to be useful cats - our dog trainer is fostering a lurcher who is thought to be "OK" with cats but that needs to be proved. Obviously if the dog is non-reactive towards cats (an ask as she's a lurcher) she will have a better chance of rehoming. It's a sad case, there is no cruelty involved. She belonged to a gamekeeper who lost his job and could only take two of his four dogs to wherever he has moved on to. So she's homeless through circumstance. The visit will probably happen next week some time. Have a good day peeps - keep dry! |

aww thats such a shame about the dog, her owner must be soo uoset having to choose which dogs to keep and re-home. Fingers crossed the visit goes well with all inviolved We have just had to try and build a scratch post using parts from the big 1 we got for harris and skye as it became too loose for them to climb on and we werent able to strengthen it due to the bottom of the scratchposts being sheared by bolts so we have built a new 1 from the useable parts, looks not too bad!!! will need to try post before and after pics of what it was like and what its like now. and amazingly we didnt have to bin any parts!!! |

Kazz, I have both the Broadmoor book and Before I go to Sleep on my kindle, thoroughly enjoyed both but I thought the latter one ran out of steam before the end and became contrived, still enjoyed it though ![]() Today the yarn I was waiting for arrived, postman at the door at 7.30, long before we would normally get up ![]() Had a couple of knots to deal with on Morgan's coat today, all because I didn't groom him for a day or two, no excuses but I won't let that happen again, poor boy was very patient while I combed them out, bless him! Liver and bacon with mash for dinner tonight, yummy! Just had another rain shower, shame we don't have room for more water butts! Enjoy the evening! |

Hi everyone. Emma, sorry to hear about Bronwyn. We went to a family history fair today. OH has discovered albums of old photos while clearing out his Dad's bungalow and is trying to work out who everyone is and construct a family tree. There are some amazing Victorian pictures in there! It is very showery today, the pheasants under the bird feeder look very soggy! I hope you have better weather for your picnic Pamela! |
