A Chilly Cloudy Wednesday

Morning all! It's what it says on the title here again this morning - and much needed rain is forecast for the weekend. We already have a hosepipe ban in the Southern Water area.

My gardening man is here clearing the area where the chicken run used to be so I can get an idea of the free space for my new shed and maybe a couple of raised beds for strawberries.

I did manage to get Monty into my car yesterday and connected up to his safety belt. I sat with him on the back seat for a while talking to him and giving him treats and then got into the driver's seat and sat for a while with the engine running but as soon as we started off he started whining, so I ended up just driving around the block and bringing him home so he didn't get too stressed. I went off to the vet on my own afterwards. Still, small steps - I should have started him in my car when he was younger but stupidly thought that as he was fine in OH's car, he'd be OK in mine but of course he can't think like that. I'll try it again either today or tomorrow.

Our second attendance at advanced class this evening - many more dogs are meant to be coming along so it may be a bit more stressful for him. "Be Good Monty" vibes appreciated as always.

Have a good day folks!

PS I hope you are feeling OK Emma?

Ah here in Denmark, its a beautiful day, just like the last few days.

I've been out enjoying my tiny garden. Starting to get rid of leaves and things. But I need a shovel and a few other tools. But that'll have to wait untill I have money. I bought gardenscissors the other day, so some of the bushes has been cut down.

I think I'm gonna be very happy with this tiny garden, when summer comes

Right now the door is open and I can hear the birds whistle

Re: A Chilly Cloudy Wednesday

Afternoon! I'm at home today, doing a bit of work but also having a bit of me time after spending my birthday yesterday being quite upset.

Did a bit of a power walk over to a lunchtime pilates class, planted some seeds and am shortly off to support Dominik in a rugby match against Ludgrove who I understand are one of the more difficult teams to beat. Hence he'll need much encouragement as he gets a bit down if things aren't going to well.

It's overcast here, but not too cold . . . still need to wait for a warmer day to go out to buy a water butt as it'll involve having to put the roof down on the car and it's a tad too chilly for that today!

What sort of steam mop do you have Shelley? I'm looking at steam cleaners atm.

It says Royale on it Angie. My parents gave it to us, i think they probably sent for it from the paper.
You just use water and it's the heat that sterilises the floor. It's a bit of a faff to fill it and put the clothes on but it's easy to use and it does get a lot of dirt up. You can use it on hardwood floors or carpet.

Kwame has had his booster at the vets, he was a good boy but is now feeling sorry for himself.
Yoga was good tonight. The teacher had brought beach pebbles from St Ninians cove and we picked one for meditation.
Strangely a member of the group who has changed sessions came into my mind and Lorna told us at the end of the group that this particular lady is poorly and asked us to send healing vibes.
