A wee hello

From an old member

I was just thinking of you. Its probablely because of Crufts in Birmingham and that got me thinking of Kazz And that lead me back here

A lot of things have happened since I was here last.

One of them, and the saddest one, is that Oliver is no longer here

Oliver had to go to the bridge october 20. last year . He had had a lot of tummy problems in the last years. In the end it was cancer in the bowls, that got the best of him He is missed so much . He was a part of my life for little over 15 years. And Luna has never known life with me without Oliver. So it was sad.

A few months afterwards, Luna and I moved. Not far but to a smaller appartment. Only one room, but we have a little garden

A few pics of Oliver on his last day

And with his beloved Luna

Hi Jeanette - welcome back. I see you first joined in 2004, well before me.

I am so sorry to hear about your Oliver - he really was a handsome boy. It is very hard, I know, I lost my dear old Merlin aged over 23 coming up to 3 years ago. It does get easier and now I can smile at photos of him and remember the joy and good times we had together. I found the support given by forum members here helped me a lot. It's good to be able to chat to people who really understand how you feel.

Hello Jeanette long time no see!

I'm so sorry to hear about dear Oliver, I know how much you loved him and how much you must miss him now I can imagine the loss both you and Luna must feel. Luna is looking good, how old is she now?

I love the last pic of Oliver and Luna together ...... lovely memories for you.

Are you still in the same job, I remember you were looking for a change some years ago?

Hi Mags

Luna will be 9 years old in the beginning of next month

These pics were taken during the last day. I called the vet at 8 am and got an appointment at 2.30, and I more or less knew that Oliver wouldn't be coming home with us. So I got the camera out and took a lot of pics. I cried and we got to say a good farewell.

Nope, I've been unemployed for little over 2 years now I found another job for 1 year, but I didn't fit in there, so currently I'm at home all day.

I hope to find a job soon. Its hard money-wise. That's also why we moved. A smaller and cheaper appartment.

Re: A wee hello

Jeanette, how lovely to have you back here. I remember you well from my early days at Catsey (when it was still catpages)!!

So sorry that you've lost Oliver - it's so very painful when that happens, and he was a really beautiful ginger boy. Luna looks like she's shedding a tear in that picture . . . quite sad really.

I hope you stick around for a bit.
