Maple Walnut Thursday

Used to be my very favourite ice-cream - don't know if you can get it any more.

Lovely warm day here. OH, Monty and I have been out - firstly to the garage to get fuel while I popped in the shop to get a card and wrapping paper for MIL's birthday gift, she will be 90 this coming Saturday. Then for a walk around Fishbourne watermeadows and the creek and I visited the little church too which is over 700 years old.

I may do a bit more gardening this afternoon, but will wait until it cools down. There was report of a 3.9 earthquake just off Portsmouth this morning at around 8.00 am - we heard/felt nothing!!! http://www.salinated.co.uk/2011/07/1...glish-channel/

Have a good day folks.

Edited to say: Monty has been a very good boy today and is now fast asleep in his crate.

Re: Maple Walnut Thursday

Hi Angie and all of you!

I love maple and walnut danish pastries, yumyum.

Dear Monty, bet he's a cutie Heard about the earthquake on the news. Been glorious here today, went into town and got banners and balloons etc for my brother's wedding meal tomorrow night. It's 6 weeks since his cruise wedding and this was the first chance we could get to all be together to celebrate, since the family have been holidaying etc.

Is it Fishbourne where there is a Roman villa Angie? the name is familiar.

Re: Maple Walnut Thursday

Hi Angie, PP. Lovely but coolish for July: sun, 24 C (75 F), a good ten degrees cooler than yesterday. Had a heavy t'storm blow thru yesterday afternoon before the cool front came thru, the heat haters are happy! No news, all's quiet and peaceful. I have an appointment with the pulmonologist tomorrow, hope I can be off oxygen completely now.

Glad Monty is being a good boy. PP, hope the get-together will be great; glad no one felt the earthquake.

Enjoy the day!

Re: Maple Walnut Thursday

Hello all...

I'm now home from work, and on 4 day weekend!!! In fact, it's the first of three such for me - lucky girl!!!

Lovely sunny day here too, though it's now starting to get a little overcast... Cloud seems to be playing with an insect or two... OK then!!!

Hope all goes well. Good luck with that appointment Eileen!

Hi everyone - sorry not to be around much- we are getting ready for the Festival of History and I will be in a field (getting wet I suspect) surrounded by reenactors for the next few days..........

That looks so amazing CS .... hope it all goes well and that your "lot" don't accidentally re-write history .... but that could be rather exciting too!
