Buckingham Palace in row with the USA

Oh dear. Never mind. But I am sure the Palace is normaly in darkness at night. Maybe they could keep them on for once till 3 or something. To be honest never considered the USA
being interested in the wedding.

How odd about the lights, surely the broadcasters could work from a studio with a pre-recorded backdrop?

Don't think we're going to need brollies on the day other than acting as a parasol (fingers crossed smiley needed here!) London's looking great in the sun, flags and bunting fluttering, red-coated soldiers marching. I so love a bit of a do!

For a people who said NO to George III, we have a great interest in the Royals .... you Brits really are unsurpassed at pageantry, no question about that. The Wedding will be a really big thing here; the paper yesterday had a long article with pics speculating about The Wedding Gown! Oh, and they had a pic of Queen Victoria in her wedding dress; interesting. She wasn't a particularly attractive looking woman. was she?

Re: Buckingham Palace in row with the USA

They've already agreed to leave them on until 12.30, long past their usual time lol. I'm sooooooo excited for next friday. I've bought bunting, flags, banners etc to decorate the house and we're having a wedding party for us 4 . So bought union flag plates, cups, tablecloths and such like. And we're having scones and cream cakes, cucumber sandwiches, ginger beer and everything a British tea party should have May even pop to one of the charity shops and see if I can find a hat!!!!

I'm sure they could leave the lights on for an extra half an hour! Although I guess grandparents always go to bed before the young 'uns!

Wonder where The Royal Couple will be going on their honeymoon? Anyone in the know???
