Blue skies Sunday

Well people Good Morning. As the title says its beautiful here, and guess what I have a day off.

Not sure what is planned Pork is defrosting for dinner but unsure if eating wil be in or out. Bit of indescision.

Front garden is looking okay will try and snap a picture or two later, acers enjoying their new position. Have got the first of the paving for the back and sand etc but not sure how much I will do today. The good weather calls outside so maybe a day out somewhere.......been a while since have gone for a nice long walk somewhere then a bit of lunch.

Anyhow choices choices. Either will be fine I am sure and the perfect way to spend Sunday.

Whatever you all decide to do I hope you have a lovely " Blue Skies Sunday" in memory as well as reality.

Beautifully sunny here. Supposed to be cooler here than yesterday but doesnt feel it.

We are going out to lunch to my brothers & in afternoon my nephew is bringing his 3 boys to see mum at my brothers. There are 3 boys aged from 3 downwards - quite a handful!

Enjoy your day everyone!

yes i agree

Lovely and sunny here today, missed a picture of Tom stalking a butterfly, Red Admiral i think. He's looking better after his medication adjustment.
Not sure what we will do with the day yet, but a dog walk is a pretty safe bet.
We have been invited to a Barbque later at Howards brothers.
Helen sounds like you will have a busy time with the 3 little boys

Re: Blue skies Sunday

Another beautiful day here too. I could have gone on a cocker walk arranged for today in the New Forest but it takes about 75 minutes to get there plus the return journey of course, all for a walk of under 1 hour. Part of me wishes we'd gone because the socialising aspect is always good but another part is working out the fuel cost I'm going to wish we'd gone aren't I?

Anyway, need to get out and prune the buddleias today, I don't like to do it any earlier in the year as we seem to catch the butterfly season better if we do it now. This year I'm going to have to lop the lilacs, take off a couple of the big branches as one of the bushes has outgrown its space and is rubbing up against the house wall and the other is threatening to hang over the garden wall and whack passers-by in the face. It means we'll have much reduced blossom next year unfortunately, but that's not a job for today, it's a few weeks off yet. We've been in this house 30 years and the garden is small so every year we're having to face the problem of healthy things outgrowing their space, need a bigger garden!

Re: Blue skies Sunday

Afternoon all - gloriously sunny here too.

Been to P@H this morning for cat biccies and saw two people, one with a pup in arms and another with a very young KCS on a lead. Spoke to the lady at the till and told her about new puppy - it's nice to know that's somewhere we can take new pup for socialisation. Having a bit of trouble finding a puppy comforter - must look online.

Book reading again this afternoon. Trying to make weekends a bit more relaxing! OH is watching the Masters on TV - he doesn't agree with the heat! I don't like to tell him it's only 17C!

Have a great day folks. Barbecue sounds good, but not good for dieters, so salad again tonight.

Re: Blue skies Sunday

Hi people! Not sunny here, alas! Still cloudy and rather dismal: 9 C (49 F), but supposed to warm up later in the day and really warm up briefly on Monday... high 80s F! Looking forward to that! No news of course being stuck indoors; but am really enjoying my own cooking after the hospital food. I miss Leia dreadfully; it did make sense to leave her at Carolyn's where she's happy as a clam rather than bring her home for a few days then back while I have the surgery and recoup. But the catless house is soooooo empty

Angie, couldn't you have some plain chicken on the barbecue. not too many calories in that, plus the salad? BC, a busy productive day! MrsH have fun pruning, I do love lilacs.Shelley, too bad you missed that butterfly-stalking pic, would have been a good one! Kazz, enjoy whatever it is you end up doing.

Take care, all ....
