It's baby lamb time again

Thought you might like to see what's been keeping me busy these last few weeks.

This is Bronwyn my little black welsh mountain with her twins Owen and Bryn.

- meeting a new friend

. . Look - I've had three

what mischief can we get up to now!

They are adorable CM, there's something about lambs that make me want to cuddle them ..... they are all stunning but the little black ones are something special!

I wanted black lambs for ages. Found two Black Welsh Mountain at a rare breeds sale last year so black lambs at last. Their mum is very friendly so I do get to pick these up and cuddle - only problem is I don't want to put thenm back down.

They are gorgeous CM - any little lambs are delightful but the little black ones are extra! Dare I ask what will become of them?

I was hoping she would have had girls because I could have kept them. As they are boys they will beome chops - as do 95% of our boys.

Yes, but they will have a great life with us. If we eat lamb it has to come from somewhere. If we didn't then you'd never see lambs as there would be no need to breed them.

Oh, thanks for those lovely pics, CM! There is something about little new lambs and Spring that just sort of lifts your heart. It's sad to think of their end but they'll have such a happy life with you before then ....

I know that's true CM. I don't eat lamb, so don't mention the mint sauce yet
