Wednesday's Thread

It is Wednesday isn't it? I'm muddled at the best of times but with these short weeks I'm even more confused!

In the office again today - we're going to view a couple more offices over the lunch break - one in an 'eco-building' and another in a converted brewery

OH came downstairs in the night (followed his nose ) to find Balie asleep on the desk in his own poo He wiped the mess up but I had to shower Balie this morning. He didn't even fight (not that he does much, but usually resists a bit). It broke my heart to see him so withdrawn. At this rate I'll be taking them both to the vet on Friday.

Weather is overcast and chilly here today. The end of the week bodes well though

Re: Wednesday's Thread

Sorry that you're having to deal with that Yola, as you say it's heartbreaking when they can't help their mess.

Having a rough couple of days here, eventually made myself go to the dr's who diagnosed an inflamed gut. I've never known such awful, griping pain, didn't eat a thing yesterday as I just felt too uncomfortable and I didn't sleep either last night or Monday. He reckons I've eaten something that has triggered it as I'm not unwell, no sickness etc. but I don't think I've eaten anything out of the ordinary. Anyway his advice is to eat nothing for a further 24-48 hours depending how I feel, drink 3-4 litres of water a day to flush the system and be prepared for diarrhoea! It's not helping that we're having the boiler changed and resited, so no heating or hot water until he's finished, doggie needs a walk but I just can't manage more than a few steps so OH will have to do that, I'm currently on the sofa with the dog snuggled up to me and a warm wheat bag on my poor sore gut.

Soon be all better! Have a good day everyone.

Re: Wednesday's Thread

So sorry about Balie, Yola. Poor boy. Also very sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly MrsH. Do hope you begin to feel better soon.

It's very overcast here today and only 10C atm. OH and I have been to the garden centre to take advantage of their 5 bags of FYM for £15 - need to mulch the raspberries and will have plenty over for the rhubarb and bean trench.

Looking at pots at the garden centre - I think I'll look online, as they are much too expensive and I do think some of the plastic/resin pots are better value and last longer. Also discovered something called "Fibreclay", so will look for that online too.

Have a good day everyone.

Yola, sorry to heat about Bailie, that is so sad. MrsH, hope you feel much much better soon!

We made 32 C yesterday! And looks as if it'll be another glorious day today, presently 28 C (82 F) with sun and a nice breeze. But we had two power outages yesterday, 4 hours in the afternoon (thank God it wasn't quiz night!!); drove me mad missing my internet and no music on the radio. Then just before bedtime it went out again, only 20 minutes this time, but I had to fix Leia's bedtime snack and mine by candlelight. Bah! Been to the market, no real news.

QUIZ tonight!

Sorry to hear about Bailie, Yola.
MrsH sorry to hear you are not well, keep resting and get better soon.
Last few days we have been busy taking the Pup new places, we're shattered but it's good fun.

Yola - poor Balie - feel for you, and him.

Mrs H that sounds horrid - do hope you feel better soon.

Have been out about in the garden this week and think a trip to the GC is needed. I have a couple of frostproof pots that aren't!

DM - hope the power stays on for tonights quiz!

Love getting pups socialised Shelley - they love everything at that age.

All well here - lambing started so not been on much - of to catch up.

Keep well peeps

Hiya all.

Had a rough day today not been into work, but not up to being on here either. So I will join you in the poorly bin MrsH.

Yola hope everything sorts itselfs out with the cats,...

Angie you will not be overly surprised to know I already have Fibreclay pots the big planters of mine are ade of that. Lightweight compared to clay/terracotta but look identical. But are frost proof.

Back off to bed now see you all tomorrow when I hope to feel a bit more chatty.

Nope this time I was following instructions......honest. Told to stop taking all my tablets, nothisthone, both acids
Mefenamic and tranexamic ones and I thought to myself Okee dokee.... only to be told today, I should have actually been told to take 1 of each daily till op as opposed to 2 of of each three times a day,......so now taking one of each hoping to get back on an even keel shortly. Next time I will question instead of blindly following the advice given.

Although not harmful to me the symptoms are kinda irritating........if I had been pre warned I would have been better prepared. Oh well.....
