Windy Wednesday

Well, it is here, sunny a tad warmer, but the March winds are doing their thing. 11 C (53 F), and the oak and elm trees are beginning to leaf out now. I see buds on a few of the tulips. No errands this morning so just did a few chores and came on here.

Hope all are well; the quiz is tonight at 8, all welcome.

Re: Windy Wednesday

Quite a nice day weather-wise here. Forsythia is beginning to bud and my aubergine seedlings are sprouting! 8 days - not at all bad. I like my new propagator. Fingers crossed for the "difficult" seeds - agave, aloe and cup and saucer vine. I shall cheer if and when they put in an appearance!

Looking forward to the quiz tonight Eileen!

Re: Windy Wednesday

Hi, Angie, see you at the quiz! One basil is up this morning, and either a tomato or pepper; the seedings resemble one another closely when first up, but think it's a pepper. I'm a bit silly, check them about twice a day!

I didn't know you could grow aloe from seed; I've aways just planted an offset from the main plant. I have one that must be 40 years old, a friend at work gave it to me.

Yes, the aloe is a bit of a gamble, but I got the seeds free because I bought the agave. Buying a small aloe vera plant is incredibly cheap, but I do like a bit of a challenge. They take (according to the packet) between 1 and 4 months to germinate!

Re: Windy Wednesday

No seeds or shoots here yet; we have a greenhouse but no glass in it - that's a job for this coming weekend.

Well, I have one new member of staff sorted and one to go. It's very stressful

Weather here's been OK 15 degrees C and dry - although rain was promised. I'm off to bed soon as I had a very disturbed night last night. Can't blame Sebi this time, just lots weird dreams and restlessness.
