Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day thread

And Happy St. Patrick's Day to all also! He is smiling on us today, it's already 12 degrees (54 F) before lunch and will make about 16 this afternoon. So lovely after the cold unrelenting Winter. Off to the market earlier; will start my seeds this afternoon. No news really, all is quiet and peaceful here.

An Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

Thanks for the lovely Irish blessing Eileen ........... I'd always wondered about the first line and thought it meant passing out after having a bit too much of the hard stuff!!!!

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day thread

Greeetings! Pale cloud cover and warmish here. I'm bug-eyed after a bad night with Sebi. He was feverish in the night and was awake for about 3 hours, annoying thing is he bounced up this morning and was ready for school and I was crawling around on all fours still (mentally at least) about 5 minutes before we had to leave!

Not much else to report, am SO glad that the evenings are getting lighter it helps lighten the mood a bit too!

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day thread

Very cross with one of our cats today but I don't know which of the little darlings has been clawing at the banister and left little slivers of wood on the floor and deep gouges in the woodwork.

Doggie, on the other hand has been all sweetness and light, walked beautifully to heel and recalled immediately in the woods! A funny old day!

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day thread

LOL MrsH . . . our house is nearly 200 years old and at some point either cat or dog had clawed deep gouges in the main turning verticals on the banister . . . mine have tried their best to add to this (especially Fifi who is our resident stropper) but they've hardly made any impact on the existing damage.

Just look at yours as adding to the 'character' of the house!

Sebi came back from school very feverish and complaining of aches and pains and tummy soreness. I doubt he'll be going to school tomorrow. Bang goes my girlie lunch with our CP co-ordinator

Oh Yola, sorry Sebi's poorly, and that you have to miss your lunch. Hope he improves and you can get a decent sleep tonight.

MrsH, I've lived in this house for 44 years, and every one of the cats has scratched in the same place on the door jamb despite having scratching posts galore. There is a deep indentation in it. I love Yola's remark about it adding character.......

Work this morning, then home to do housework in between watching Pup.
Feeling very tired just lately.
Has anyone heard how Kazz has gone on today?

Re: Happy St. Patrick's Day thread

I was thinking about Kazz earlier Shelley. Not heard anything - anyone else??? Wondered whether she'd been admitted.
