Fruit flies?!

Where in the world are they coming from at this season? I was peeling an apple at lunch and suddenly there were 3 or 4 of them flying around! I didn't have any fruit in my groceries this morning, either. Anyone else had them recently?

A mystery Eileen - don't see them until mid-Summer/early Autumn. Can't imagine where they are coming from. You're not making wine are you???

Re: Fruit flies?!

That's early - we rarely have them here 'til much later.

Re: Fruit flies?!

Nope, no wine making, just drinking! I've never seen them this early before; I wonder if they hibernated somewhere in the house since last Autumn? Doesn't seem likely ......

Re: Fruit flies?!

No; rarely make bread anymore since Whole Foods opened with their marvellous selection of artisan breads. Getting lazy in my old age
