A Project for the long Winter months?

I've been thinking what to do .......... have to keep myself amused during those long dark evenings. So far, I've come up with combining my family history research with sorting all my parents' old photos and putting them in a proper album. Sadly, most of the photos are from my Mum's side of the family and I don't have any of my Dad's family.

Do you have any plans for a Winter project?

Nothing special, Angie. Pre-computer days I'd have done some needlework or made Christmas ornaments; have gotten too addicted to Catsey, OFF and shopping on line. Oh, I will be browsing garden catalogues and trying to keep from ordering too many things that I don't have room for!

Pretty much the same as I do in Summer only in a shorter time scale due to the dark nights.

My Winter project is going to be the new house! All being well we should exchange contracts on the 9th
It needs some decorating and renovating, hoping to get it all done in time for Christmas as we will be having the family over to ours for the first time ever!

Re: A Project for the long Winter months?

Family History
Sorting out photos - both ones on PC and the hundreds in boxes. You know the lovely view, no idea where or when ones!
Finishing all the half completed cross stitches
Garden planning - construction and planting which has to include those tempting catalogue
Sort of considering trying to do some simple 'at home' agility with Jen. She has way to much energy and we don't have as much work for the dogs November - January. (anyone do/done agility - hints/tips welcomed)
Catsey/OFF of course (and a virtual horse game I play)
I want to go through my recipe books and earmark some new things to try that OH will eat too. Honestly he is a nightmare to feed. All very plain, no pasta or rice. No 'fancy veg etc. So that should keep me out of mischief for a while.

That is on top of work and helping OH out on farm.

Have to say that looks very familiar to the list I had in 2008, 2007, 20.................

just the dolls house that I got for £3 not long ago lol. The girls and I are going to renovate it.
And also make a lot of cards to build up a stock for when needed lol.
