Pip has hurt his leg

Pip seems to have hurt his right foreleg. He is limping and not weight bearing on it. There is no external injury, so he may have sprained it or twisted it awkwardly. I have felt around his little joints and he shows no pain.

Obviously I will phone the vet tomorrow morning, but is there anything I can do in the meantime? Any advise welcome. Thanks.

Re: Pip has hurt his leg

Its a kitten thing I swear they jump about like crazy I would try trying to keep him from jumping about (hard I know) he has not by any chance got anything in his paw has he?

No good with things like this I am sorry vets would be my first visit too.

Re: Pip has hurt his leg

He seems to be sensibly resting atm Kazz. I have had a look around his paw but I can't see anything there. He let me poke about around his pads without showing any pain.

Hopefully he will be right as rain by morning - I would go to vets if not.

Hope Pip gets well soon!

Re: Pip has hurt his leg

Hopefully he has just given himself a wee strain...
Like Kazz says, just try and get him to rest it, nothing really more you can do...
Maybe by tomorrow he will be able to put his weight on it again.

No, I've felt all around his leg and under his paw Moli and he doesn't seem to be feeling any pain

Poor baby! Hope it's just a slight sprain and he'll be OK in the morning; vets if not. Sending a cuddle!

Re: Pip has hurt his leg

If he starts getting too lively it may be a good idea to put him in his cage for a while in case he does more damage to it.

After a night's rest he will hopefully be better tomorrow...
