Newbie Here, With Two KittiesHi all! I'm relatively new to forums - I belong to a greyhound forum (GreyTalk) 'cause I had a retired racer for 8 years. Lost her in Jan '05. I had a beautiful (and temperamental) tortoiseshell for 17 years - lost her in Aug '07. I was supposed to wait till January '08 to get any more pets since I was scheduled to take 3 trips in the fall of '07... well, THAT didn't quite work out! I work PT on weekends for a pet food company & do demos in various pet stores. Of course, I have to look at all the adoptable kitties while I'm there! I fell in love with my boy Merlin with one look in his cage! (This was exactly three weeks after I lost my tortie, Weenie...) He went home with me that day - and he's an absolute LOVE! 1/2 Maine Coon, mackerel tabby - gorgeous as well as sweet! I've always wanted 2 cats but Ween did NOT like others.. so now was my chance! I found a lovely little girl, tabby & white, at an SPCA open house at yet another pet store (those stores are DANGEROUS!!  ) and she came home with me in March '08. Her 1st gotcha day is this Sunday, the 8th!!Merlin & Jas get along very well and we're one smallish happy family!! I'll try to post pix the same way I do at GT... hope it works! If not, I'll have to haunt the tech posts...) Here goes...  This is Merlin, my huge fuzzy boy  And Jasmine, his tiny bratty sister!

 Hi ozgirl! "Merlin" is a popular name on this forum. My Merlin (above) is 23 years old! Love your Merlin - he looks very wizardly. We also have two other Merlins, but I'll let them introduce themselves. Nice to have you here. |
