Well rested Wednesday- Daily

Morning all. Had the most sound sleep ever and lots of cuddles from Eva, which was lovely but I forgot just how heavy she is .
Anyway, just off to get ready to walk the dogs, just had a call about looking after a 6 week old Shar-pei (spelling). Sadly I cannt take it on as it's the wrong side of Aberdeen for me to be able to get there before 2pm. Oh well....
Have a great day every one and I'll catch you all later.

Hi Elaine - welcome back. It must be lovely to be home.
It's another gorgeous day here - bright and sunny. Cold as hell though, but the sun is getting stronger and will warm things through the day. The daylight is certainly growing longer - about 7 in the morning till nearly 6 at night; it all helps!
Enjoy your day everyone

Re: Well rested Wednesday- Daily

Hi all, Just dropped all 4 of my foster cats off at the vets for the day, to have various operations/procedures done.
I'm working at home today. Ashleigh is poorly & off school as she started vomiting yesterday in school. I've got a huge pile of work to be getting on with, so I'll say bye-for-now & will get started on it.

Welcome back Elaine! What a shame about the Shar-pei, they are such loveable looking pups!

A lovely sunny day here but I am feeling exhausted. Have had a seriously bad headache that comes in waves and makes me wince it's so bad for about 3 days. Woke up this morning with it still there, could hardly open my eyes I was so tired, I felt hungover but no alcohol was consumed! Ibuprofen isn't really easing it either. Not sure what the problem is...

Alone in the office again today, as colleague is off sick, which makes for a very long and boring day but oh well!

Going to watch the second part of Terry Pratchett's programme on Alzheimers tonight which is really interesting. Can't wait for the weekend and a long lie already!

have a good day all!

Bright and sunny here but with ice on the roads. My voice is still very croaky but slightly better, throat still a bit sore and have a nasty cough. Am swallowing monster-sized vitamins like they're going out of fashion

Elaine, lovely to see you back. I'm glad you're well rested and it must be lovely to get back to your own home, bed and pets after a time away.

Smudgely - sorry Ashleigh's poorly. I hope it's just a bit of a bug that she can shake off really quickly. She seems to have quite a few tummy problems - have you checked her for food intollerances?

Morning Meep n DM

Tonight I will be making time to watch the new Minder. I watched it last week prepared to be bored but was very impressed. And having heard the extremely funny Shane Richie on Absolute Radio this morning it reminded me that I need to make sure to watch it.

Re: Well rested Wednesday- Daily

A lovely bright sunny day here but the woods are frightfully muddy! Took the dog for a run and he got very messy (as usual!) it takes so long to rinse him off and dry him at the moment as he has a huge puppy coat that just absorbs all the mess. I'll be so glad when this puppy fluff finally shifts.

Meep - sorry about your headache, is it migraine do you think? I used to suffer terribly from 3 day migraines and a pharmacist told me that it's better to take soluble painkillers for migraine as they get absorbed better. I used to take Solpadeine, very effective (but taste horrible!)

Re: Well rested Wednesday- Daily

Morning everyone! Lovely and sunny here too - wonderful. Still chilly, but lovely in the sun. Must think about sorting out the greenhouse ........... needs to be done soon!

OH has gone off to play golf but thinks the course may well be flooded, so he may not get his round in. Everything is very wet.

Meep - just a thought - have you had your eyes tested recently? If you do a lot of computer work at work you may be entitled to have your company pay for an eye exam. Eye strain does cause headaches and if you are not a usually headachey person it could be a possible cause. Do hope it goes soon. I have finally shifted mine - it was bad again yesterday but I know that low atmospheric pressure causes me to get catarrhal (sp?) pains - like neuralgia. Almost always goes as soon as the pressure starts rising again. Low pressure affects my breathing too.

Have a good day everyone - hope you too have sunshine!

Re: Well rested Wednesday- Daily

Mrs H and Angie - both good suggestions. I've had a colleague mention Solpadeine too, will check it out although took Cuprofen this morning which is pretty strong so probably won't take Solpadeine today.

Angie, I do have -2.00 short-sightedness but usually wear contacts or glasses so I don't feel my eyes are strained although it is something i never though of. I am due an eye test too, so I will definately look into work paying for it, although I'm not sure if they'd agree with that! (Charitable company, although not a charity, just government funded.)

Meep - solpadeine is brilliant but beware; it's highly addictive. Believe me

Your company is legally obliged to pay for eye tests, charity or not. Thankfully none of my staff have requested yet that we do so, but if they did I would have to do so.

Re: Well rested Wednesday- Daily

Well done Yola for clarifying that - I thought so, but wasn't absolutely sure it applied to all firms.

And I'm sure I saw something on tv recently about a woman who was addicted to solpadeine that she started taking for her headache.

(Merlin has just come in and given the longest miaowwwww I've ever heard. Think he wants MORE FOOD!)
