If I won £100,000, I'd be able to get a mortgage for this house! http://www.normanlloyd.com/ I love it and it has a garden so we could let Imogen explore outside and have another dog! |

See a tax accountant, assess what would be left after taxes, and invest most of it prudently. Then, buy an Apple laptop, hire a smart young student to download all my favorite music on an iPod and set it up to work on speakers. Then make a generous contribution to Alley Cat Allies, the local shelter, and cancer research. |

sorry which house Liz - that link just took me to their front page. I think I would buy a narrowboat and travel around the canals and waterways of England. I'd make sure the boat was snug and that I had some feline and maybe canine company. I know that OH would like this adventure too, but we'd have to find somewhere else for MIL to live first, which would probably take most of the money! |

That is a very pretty house Liz - you'd be perfect for each other. Eileen - I haven't heard about Deborah Crombie, so I will look her books up. I went on a narrowboat holiday many years ago and loved it. Such a gentle, slow pace of life and a perfect way to watch wildlife in the quieter parts of the waterways. |
