Snowy Monday

Hi - morning everyone. Hope you are all managing to keep safe and warm. What a start to your holiday Natalie!

We have had about 2 inches of snow here. I'll post some pictures later.

I would hope people will start "signing in" just to signify that they are OK.

Re: Snowy Monday

Morning all. Yup im ok.
Have been to work in the snow (only had about an intch), it's well good. Skidded a few times in the car but I had control of it lol.
Gonna build a snowman in our back garden in a bit (I become a child when it snows lol). Someones built a snowman on the path at the bottom of our road, its got a sort of halo on its head from a tree. Was funny. The sun is out now (go away your gonna melt the snow!)

Re: Snowy Monday

We've got a sprinkling of the stuff here. not any real disruption ... yet! More to come tho so sitting, watching. Posh is fast asleep on cushions, as she does, oblivious to it all; Bron was but suspicious of the cold feeling on her paws when she went out for her early morning wee. and rushed back indoors!
Ceri's hunter-gatherer instinct has kicked in and he's gone out for bread and milk just in case, you know!
I'm so relieved I don't have to work til Wednesday night and I hope the white stuff will have gone by then

Keep warm and safe everybody. PP.x

Re: Snowy Monday

Morning! Signing in here

Was away all weekend visiting friends, hence my absence. And feeling pretty tired for it! But had a wonderful time. Stayed in an old Lodge House on Fri night, went on a midnight walk round the grounds of the House, went for a walk up the hills to see some Iron Age relics in the morning, then went into Aberdeen for some city-living with a meal and out on the Sat night. Lots of fun!

We've got some snow here, which is very unusual for the west of Scotland. It keeps snowing on and off, but so far snow levels and manageable!

Back into the healthy lifestyle again today. After getting ill last week I ditched the healthy eating and gym-going until today, so that's abotu 10 days off. Already feel a bit more bloated and pudgy again so going to blitz it! All that hard work a few weeks ago for nothing

Hope everyone keeps warm, both people and pusses!

Re: Snowy Monday

Hi there Leesy signing in LOL,
snow is about 2inches thick here and it has just started coming down again, all my little charges have arrived and their parents have gone to work with a warning to keep an eye on the weather and if it gets to bad to come and pick the little darlings up early LOL , don`t want to end up with them over night.

Hope everyone else is OK out there in Catsey land .

Re: Snowy Monday

We had about 4 inches of snow at home, here in our rural office I thought it'd be treacherous but actually it's only just starting to cover now. My Mum and brother are snowed in in West London - I understand it's about 8 inches there!

The boys are at school - not as many kids in as usual but pretty well all the teachers are there.

I'll be leaving the office mid-afternoon with OH too. He couldn't bring his wide-tyred sports car as it would be lethal in the snow so thankfully my 4WD tank stepped in. I'll let Myshka out into the snow for a bit when I get home . . . that should be fun

Re: Snowy Monday

Not a lot here and none falling at the mo. Sun trying to come through.
Long may it continue!
There are a few excited children around - I hope that doesn't mean schools are closed - it doesn't warrant that.
The difference between boys and girls? Was walking with Dinah when we came across 3 children, squealing with delight at the snow. A girl said - 'Oh lovely dog. Can I stroke her?' The boy said 'Can I throw a snowball at you?'

Keep safe and warm

Re: Snowy Monday

Grrrr, DM. Don't get me started on closed schools!! Our little school where the boys go is open; but there is a long list on the local news website listing masses of closed schools? Why? I mean I'd understand if their heating was broken or pipes had burst but is this just a case of the teachers being scared to come out in the snow???

Re: Snowy Monday

Bore da pawb

Happy holidays to me gorgeous pictures Angie. Picture postcard material.

About an inch of snow here but all ok. Girls are at school and playgroup and hubby is booked into the docs later this morning to discuss having a wee little op to stop him fathering more children He looks ashen already poor baby. We are then off to the cinema to see Slumdog Millionaire before the girls come home. Beef casserole is already cooking in the slow cooker and then if the weather holds out its dog training later. I'm bored of it already to be honest. Its ok them teaching me how to walk with her and stop her pulling etc but I can't do it when I have a dog in each arm. I am improvising and its working. Her recall is excellent.

Need to fill in a job application tonight and print off my CV to attach with it. Bess loves the snow, Merlin has gone AWOL in it, and Belle isn't impressed and has hidden herself away in the airing cupboard.
