Dorothy!

Raechel had her school play last night and tonight. She had the lead role as Dorothy in A Little Slice of Oz. I was very, very proud of her. Here are a few pics

Re: Dorothy!

Alex, she looks fabulous! Not in the least self-conscious which is brilliant

Overall costumes/make up and sets looks really authentic and well thought out - did the school work on all of this (kids + teachers) or did parents have input too?

Re: Dorothy!

I'm extremely proud And a few people asked whereabouts in the States she was from as she did such a good American accent It made a huge difference to her confidence the last few months. The fact she got the lead part when she only started at the school in September. Autographs at £5 a pop ??

It was all the school and the kids (well apart from me doing Raechels hair and make up ) it is an arts college, and they put a lot of emphasis on the children taking part in productions. it doesn't have to be on stage if they aren't comfortable with it, they can be production crew, stagehands etc. And they all get a qualification in it at the end of Yr 11
