Monday's Thread

I'm chilled to the bone today. Must have been the 40 minutes I spent standing outside in the freezing rain yestrday whilst Domi had his riding lesson. Brrrr. Despite an evening infront of the fire I've not warmed up much

It's dull and cold here, but dry. My Wall.e DVD arrived today (it's the first thing I've ever pre-ordered and I'm as exciting as Domi is about it ). I will try and contain both our excitements until the weekend as I don't want him staying up too late to watch it on a school night (but OH and I might sneak a look ).

Re: Monday's Thread

Morning all!

Yola, hope you do warm up soon! Not nice to be cold on such a chilly day. And how exciting about Wall-E, I really want to see it too, let me know what you think

It's crisp but dry and sunny here which is far better than cold and wet. Today's a bit mad at work; got one of our big annual events tomorrow and ticket sales haven't been very encouraging, so it's a big push today. Got a busy few weeks ahead of me, dotting all over country. Edinburgh tomorrow...

Have a good day all!

Re: Monday's Thread

We saw it at the cinema meep. I was blown away by it . . . I'm an avid disliker of Disney and their 'take' on things but this was just superbly animated, it had a meaningful storyline and I was tranfixed by the anthropomorphic qualities of the little robot

Lots of people were really confused by the film because for about a good 3rd of it, there is little or no dialogue, only Wall.e's little squeaks . . . I wish they'd left the whole thing like that to be honest, but I guess commercialism prevailed

I would recommend it without hesitation as it's that wonderful comibation of a film that crosses all age groups!

Re: Monday's Thread

Hello all.

Chilly old day today isn't it, though D and I have been for a walk and got back and warmed up. It was quite cosy, well wrapped up and striding out at a brisk pace. Our normal 40 minute stroll turned into a 30 minute quick march!
Yola - silk underwear for you, if you're going to do a lot of this standing around doing not very much outside in cold weather. Ask santa - but not for the lacy skimpy type

Wall.e sounds charming. I will watch out for it when it reaches Sky. We watched Little Children at the weekend. I thought it was very good.

No news. The weather has improved since yesterday morning - in fact it improved as we went west over to mums. She is fine, generally doing well and finding lots of things to enjoy in her new life. She says she'll never get used to an empty house in the dark evenings, and I'm sure that's the case.

Have a pleasant afternoon everyone

Hello Moli
Are you up early? I'm unsure as to the time difference.
Have you found that the US is very 'early to bed, early to rise'? We were really surprised at dining (even out) at 6.30pm and getting up at 6am and starting work at maybe 7 or 7.30
