Daily thread ~ Saturday

Good morning everyone, the weekend is here!!

Weatherwise it's not too bad, the sun is beginning to push its way through the clouds and the ground is still wet from overnight rain.

Going shopping this morning, hoping to buy a few more Christmas presents and odds and ends for the the children's stockings.

This afternoon will be spent making the last of three Christmas cakes and savouring the smell of it baking...

Enjoy your day!

Re: Daily thread ~ Saturday

Morning Mags and all!
Typical! I have a week off work and woke up this morning with a bad shoulder coz I must have slept awkward and the beginnings of a cold, snuffly nose and sore throat... tuh!
And I've so much to do.....aaargh!
Will have to get my head around the Christmas thing, will get cards etc this week and write them out. I fear pressie buying will be limited, I'll blame the credit crunch, but the truth is I can't think WHAT to get for folk! is it so bad to give cash/vouchers ??
Hope you all get done what ya gotta do today. I'm just going to take Paracetamols and rest up ... catch you laters.

Re: Daily thread ~ Saturday

Hi all,
Fairly quiet morning at work today, had a fairly poorly cat with a 'blocked' bladder but the vet managed to pass a catheter and flush through the blockage and he's a lot more comfy now
It's nice and dry over this way today and we've just taken Imogen out for her first walk with her harness! We've been practising in the flat over the last week and she seemed to really enjoy being outside
Not much planned for the rest of today.
Lx

Sorry you seem to be "going down with something" PP - hope the paracetamol and a good rest will help you to perk up. You've got to be fit enough to make the most of your leave.

Well done PL for getting Imogen used to a harness and taking her for her first walk outside. Don't suppose you took any photos of the gorgeous girlie out for her walk????

It's been another nasty overcast day here, but not cold, although the temperature is dropping now as it's getting dark. Merlin's butler has lit his fire for him already.

The friendly lady at the vet yesterday was telling me that she has friends in Sweden and said that they are getting very worried because they are having this overcast gloomy weather all the time because the early snow has not arrived and so they get no reflected light. Another symptom of global warming. Must have another look at daylight bulbs - I do have one lamp with a natural light lightbulb and the light is definitely nicer.

Enjoy your weekend people!

Do you know Angie, as we were walking, I was thinking to myelf 'I should've brought my camera so I can post some pics on Catsey!'
Had my hands full though as I took Kindly out too, thought Imogen might like some moral support as they get on so well now. Hopefully the weather will hold and I'll try and take her out again tomorrow, with my camera, I promise!

Re: Daily thread ~ Saturday

Afternoon all! Heavy rain overnight and more predicted for this afternoon with possible t'storms, ugh! In Novmber! But sun trying to come out now and it's up to 20C! Won't last, a deep freeze is coming next week...Usual library run and picked out new frames at the optician; will post a thread. No signs of mice!

PP: speaking for myself, I love getting a gift certificate rather than something I don't need...
PL: how cool that Imogen likes her harness excursions..yes, do try for pics!
Angie:
lucky Merlin to have his fire!

Enjoy the day!
