It is a great colour isn't it. I love acers, just wish I had at least one sheltered corner in the garden. Then I'd grow all these lovely more tender type things. |

What a stunning color! I do hope you have a mild Winter and it survives; be a shame to lose it! Where is global warming when we need it? Mine is just beginning to color, will post a pic when it's in its full glory. |

Not sure if it's true but I heard that the acer leaves were a really vivid red this year due to all the rain we had through the summer. By all accounts all the rain makes the leaves store more sugar ( ![]() |

Interesting, Mags! We've had more rain than usual this year, but an unusually dry October ...wonder what color I'll have. It's been raining all afternoon although the forecast was "partly sunny" ..... |
