bad news

I don't post very often on this board but read regularly.
I have a 18 month female cat who has been under the weather for a few days...runny tummy, grumpy etc.She also started being sick today so we took her to the vet asap.
Outcome is she has a lump high in her abdomen...options are
1/ a blockage in her intestines
2/ ruptured spleen
3/cancer.She is booked in tomorrow for surgery....
please send healing thoughts for my baby

Re: bad news

Oh gosh, I'm sorry to hear this. I hope your little one's fine after surgery and that it's nothing terminal

I had a cat with an intestinal blockage (a persian). It was a huge mass of fur which they operated on and removed. He was fine after the op but had to be on a 'fast transit' diet to ensure furballs were not retained. Although obviously it means surgery and quite a log recovery, I'm hoping that a blockage is what's affecting your cat too.

Re: bad news

So sorry to hear this Archer, like Yola I too wondered if it may be a hairball blockage.

I sincerely hope all goes well with the surgery tomorrow, will be thinking of you both. Lots of healing thoughts are on their way for your little one ..... xx
