Zoo pics by an 8 year oldThese pics were taken at the zoo just over a week ago by my 8 year old granddaughter, using the camera we gave her for her birthday for the first time.....  Inside the new butterfly house......    A huge African Moth which is almost the size of a dinner plate ............ unlike all the other butterflies which fly freely and will pitch on you, this guy is kept in a large glass case.  This sea lion was taken in the tunnel underneath the pool.......  Katie's favourite animal..........  and finally..........  I think her first effort at photography was very good for her age...

Thanks all... The butterflies in pics 1 & 2 have beautiful vivid blue undersides to their wings but as soon as they settled anywhere, their wings immediately closed together and it was impossible to get a pic of the lovely colour but you can just see a bit of it in Pic 2....... |
