Afrian Lily

Just been given a present of a plant called African Lily. Does anyone know what type of conditions are best for it.

My garden is very exposed and wet/windy. Currently trying to 'make' it into a garden as it is mostly lawn.

Anyone know?

CM

Re: Afrian Lily

thanks moli - I can't believe it is the same plant as the post going on just now!

At least I'll know how to prune it. The one I have been given is a lovely lilac colour.

Re: Afrian Lily

it is v pretty. Having read a bit more about it I'm not convinced it will survive our winter. Will try and find a sheltered spot and give it a good straw mulch.

If it does survive I'd quite like to get some other colours.

Re: Afrian Lily

That's lovely! Mine is blue like yours. Is your climate mild enough to leave it in the ground all Winter as Angie does? Moli and I bring ours indoors .....
