New Kitten

Hi everyone! I am mum to 5 "fur-kids": 4 cats & 1 pup. My cats are: Little Heart & Smokey Bear, both turned 12 years old on 10 March 2008. My other 2 cats are: Tiger Spirit & Mr Charles, they will be 8 years on 28 July. My pup just turned 6 months on 17 June. She wants to play with her 'cat brothers', but they run faster than she does & jump onto high furniture, which she cannot get to.

I took the 2 oldest kitties to the veterinarian yesterday for their yearly check up & Little Heart "chatted" all the way.

I used to show cats, I had a pure bred Somali, Cornish Rex & Silver Persian. They never placed in the Top 10 of each ring; BUT they were A-1 Tops to me!!!

I have also shown household cats in the Household Pet category. But for that I feel you have to get the cat used to it from kitten hood. If you adopt an adult cat, be certain that the cat is calm around many people & the various judges will be handling them. I have many ribbons from my 2 household cats: Greta & Crystal. To this day, I still miss the "Show Bug". Every weekend it was devoted to shows & traveling; all year round.

Welcome to Catsey, hope you enjoy the friendly forum. Your cats sound lovely; like the names! Pics would be nice! I've never shown, but did take my Singapura boy to a show once with my breeder friends; he was on exhibition; he was a friendly people cat and loved it!!
