Re: just had an email from maralyn edwards

I love Marilyn Edwards books: have them all! That would be fantastic if she'd come on Catsey...she comes thru as a lovely person...and heaven knows we all have loads of cat stories, sad ones and funny ones!! Why was she e-mailing you, BM, if I may be so nosey?

Edited: she's the author of the Moon Cottage books; that was one of the questions when I was quizmistress...

I've not heard of her. But if she's writing a children's book that'd be great as I love reading Dominik cat stories!

I'll go and look her up later.

I do hope she joins

Yola, I think you'd really enjoy her books! The adult ones have some things that wouldn't be too appropriate for a little one perhaps (death), but also some parts are very funny and Domi might enjoy them...

Also recently read another little one called "Alice's Diary"; that would be suitable I think for him...the part when she's discussing how to teach her humans how to catch a mouse had me falling off my chair laughing......

And an old one, may be out of print now, "Blue Boy" by Edwin Peeples .....

Didn't mean to hijack your thread, BM!

Thanks so much for that link BM - I've bookmarked it for further study! I'd love to send Marilyn the story of how my cat Smudge adopted us a long time ago - I posted a bit of the story in "Gone but not Forgotten" when I was feeling weepy about her loss a while ago.

Re: just had an email from maralyn edwards

she said in her last email that she was having to think like a cat. sights smells ect. she also said that she dreamt that she become a cat, gets involved in her work
but i just so enjoy her storys, once u pick the book up. forget doing anything else, housework/cooking just gets u engrossed. mind u good excuse to have a duvet day and read
