we buried a coon last night

it's not our regular visitor who uses our koi pond as a bathtub...looks like it was just a yearling...from the looks of it, it got hit by a car and crawled in our backyard to die..it was close to a hole under the fence that the dogs keep sniffing if i let them out in that area once in awhile..i'm thinking there's some kinda coon family shelter that they've chosen nearby...poor little guy.

Oh that is sad. I can't help but like coons, those cute masked faces...we don't see as many of them as in previous years; suspect it has been rabies.
