The fluffs!

Hi everyone I've not been around for a while. Fabes has been in and out of the specialist hospital for the past year with idiopathic hyper calcaemia. To add to that Foofoo has just had an ear polyp removed and is now deaf - fingers crossed its temporary!

Anyway some piccies of 'em!

Fabes with his tshirt just after his lion cut

Foofoo - my angel

Solly - my big red lad

So good to see you and your persian perfects again! Foofoo is SO like my fat Fifi it's scary And I always wanted a red persian

What exactly has been the matter with Fabes (excuse me for being thick) and is the lion cut to do with his illness (ditto the thick bit again )!!

Re: The fluffs!

He lost a lot of weight about a year ago and blood tests showed he had really high calcium levels in his blood. He's been under Uni of Liverpool for 10 months now and had tests/scans/xrays/biopsies the lot. They still don't know whats caused it but haven't found any signs of cancer. He has one kidney smaller than the other and they both have calcium in them. Pheeww - reading that makes me realise how brave he's been!

Anyway, he's been on steroids for a while now and some drug from America. His calcium levels have really improved and he's full of beans! His weight is also back to normal

He wasn't tolerating being groomed so developed a couple of big matts on his sides. Took the decision to whip it all off to give him a bit of a break. As soon as it came off he had a new lease of life and has been full of energy and mischief ever since!

Re: The fluffs!

So lovely to see you and the beautiful gang again. Hope Fabes continues to pick up and that Foofoo's deafness is only temporary. Give all three of them a big hug.
By the way the Preston and Blackpool show is in Preston this year not Blackpool. Thought you might like to go along to it.
