Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Hello. Ashleigh has been up all night, tossing & turning with pains in her abdomen.... called the doctors at 8.20am & their first available appointment is 3.30pm How ridiculous is that! I said, my daughter has had severe abdominal pain all night can you not see her before, she replied.... no! So I've called work & said I won't be in today and I will stay home with her. It has eased a little from the pain she was in, so we'll see how she goes today.

I think sometimes its best just to go straight to casualty - its really awful trying to get a doctor - I mean sever abdominal pain should be taken more seriously.

Its very grey here again and absolutely freezing - got a lot of work on today thank goodness - think I need to run about though to heat myself up - I'm wearing 3 thick jumpers at the moment and looking a bit like the michelin man

Kelly, you were lucky you got an appt on the same day!! When Sebastian was vomitting, listless and difficult to wake last week, I couldn't get an appointment until the following day! It's shocking!

Hopefully your little one's feeling a bit better, but it does sound like what went round (and through) all of us recently. About 50% of the teachers are off at Domi's school with various bugs and illnesses too

We're off to watch Dominik's final ballet lesson of the term this afternoon. Will be nice as I haven't even spoken to his ballet teacher in the 2+ years he's been doing it Need to get some cat litter on my way through as the poor cats are scratching the bottom of the pan

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

I did say to the receptionist that 3.30 was no good & if she wasn't much better soon I may have to take her to the hospital & she just said ok.
But........... she has been ok most of the morning, still a slight tummy ache, but not doubled up in pain like she was.

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Glad the pain isn't as severe now, Smudgley, poor girl! Hope they get her sorted when the finally see her......

Grey and drizzley here, not the all day heavy rain predicted. I'd already decided not to shop today so had a nice long lay-in, and on the computer early. Nothing special planned but a little housework.

Hope it warms up a bit for you all; sounds awfully cold there.

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Afternoon all

Had a great day at work - everyone pleased to see me. Which is nice. They missed me.

Smudgley there is a tummy bug thing going round this side of B'ham, a load of people from work have been off with it, and seems similar to Ashleigh's trouble. Marion has to go home from work too as her youngest (6) was ill in school today she lives Dudley way and the school said loads off with it.....so could be that.

Hope she is a little better. Karen
