Government hype

I got an exited phone call from my Mum this morning. It was in the paper that the goverment was pulling more troops out Iraq!!

On the face of it that sounds good BUT and there always seem's to be a but.

Sean is going out in a few weeks for the third time. The troops they are so boldly publicizing are the exact same troops that are due to come back anyway. Surely there's something wrong there in miss leading the public like that or is it just me?

Re: Government hype

It's not just you, Jac; governments all seem to be alike putting a favorable spin on things (sigh) .....we just had a report that core inflation is just fine; sounds good, doesn't it? But.....core inflation does't include: food and energy......

Re: Government hype

I hate the way they twist the truth to suit all the time. If only they didn't cover up and lie constantly we possibly would have a bit more faith in them
There was my poor Mum thinking Sean would possibly get home early when there is infact no chance of that.
