We have those hear Dm so yours should make it the fonts (greenery) on the top reshoot everyyear but you need to protect the stump from the coldest/wettest weather lots of people here wrap them in straw and protective sheeting.

You should do great with that. Karen

You mean outdoors, Karen? No, not here, it gets way too cold to overwinter outside; we're in Zone 7, this is only suitable for outdoors up to Zone 10. We often go below 0 F. It was the lack of humidity indoors in Winter that concerned me slightly, but the orchids make it so I hope this little one will too!

That's lovely Eileen and should do well in your climate...if you are concerned about the lack of humidity indoors during the winter months, you could always try mist spraying it occasionally........

No, it's a dwarf tree fern and will not grow past 3 feet; this is a young one, that's why I called it "baby".

Oh you would laugh, Mags, I run around in the Jungle Room in the Winter with a mist sprayer like mad....... everything gets mist sprayed, even the things that don't especially need high humidity.....!!
