Moving House

Hi All

I am having my brother's two cats to come & stay with me for a while as he has just sold his house & at present is staying in a rented property.

I all ready have 4x cats two of which are the brother's of the two coming to stay. I am concerned about the length of time i will need to keep them in as i obviously do not want them to run away or try & go back to the old house.

Has anyone got any ideas or experience, i was thinking of at least a week!

Any suggestions would be much apprecitated.

Re: Moving House

I've always kept newbies in for at least three weeks. When you do eventually let them out, make sure you haven't fed them and that they are hungry, that way hopefully they will be keen to return!
Good luck, I hope everyone gets on!

Ditto Fran

I kept Willem and Ftumpsh in just shy of 3 weeks, then when i had let them roam for a hour or two banged there food bowls and in they came.

Re: Moving House

I think the general "rule" is 2 weeks, but I don't personally have any experience as my garden is cat-proofed so they can't get out anyway!!
