Want to be an astronomer?

For all you budding Patrick Moores out there.
Scientists have pictures of billions of galaxies and would like to start studying them, to help answer all sorts of questions. But, the pics can't properly be anaysed by computer (see, they're not that clever after all!) So, they're asking everyone if they can spare time to help classify galaxies and help seek out 'interesting phenomena'. Here's the link http://www.galaxyzoo.org/Default.aspx - if you have a few minutes to spare, have a look.

Wonder how much interest they'll get? Not sure I would have much time for studying galaxies Might keep the children occupied this summer holidays though

Re: Want to be an astronomer?

My hubby will be interested in that... He is reading "Bang" the complete history of the universe by Brian May, Patrick More and Chris Linton at the moment. If anyone is interested in anything like that, it is a very good read
