Re: The horrors of Summer

If anyone had told me before I was on this forum that I'd be posting a pic of my ankle with a double mosquito bite on it, I would have laughed out loud! But here is is! I was out feeding Onyx and filling the bird feeder when I got the first bite of the season...have put Benedryl liquid on it so it's not as bumpy as it was! I hate mosquitoes! Whoops, clicked Submit before I uploaded; will post!

Re: The horrors of Summer

You two must be nice and tasty to the mossies !!

Both of your ankles look really sore too. When we go on holiday abroad I am always the one who gets bitten while my hubby is bite free
I know only too well how much they itch....you feel like you're tearing your skin off with scratching, don't you?
I hope you'll both feel "itch-free" soon....

Re: The horrors of Summer

Apparently I do taste good to mosquitoes, Mags, been bitten by them all my life! Hate the little b******s! I swear by Benedryl liquid, an antihistamine that takes the burning and itching out...should have seen the ankle before I applied it! Huge welts!

Ouch, Eddy and Eileen - they look really nasty My worst ever mozzie bitings were at a pub not a million miles from Eddy and Erin, the Crooked House near Dudley. I bore the scars from those bites for the best part of a year I have to avoid them studiously as I'm quite allergic to mozzie kisses.

I too seem to be a target for them. Your bites look sore and itchy. I always put aftershave on mine. Does the job and the yucky goo comes out a treat.
Oh we have the joys of Clegs! not nice! dirty horrid things.
