Odd interests

Has anyone else got an odd interest.
Mine is churches where ever I go I find myself drawn to churches.....odd as I am not religious but the buildings themselves what part they played, how they came about etc....I think my interest started when I was about 14/15 and started doing a history project we had lots of choice and I choose churches.

In fact I have always said I would spend my retirement traveling round the Country looking at churches.

Re: Odd interests

I loved watching WWE myself Sally, but I haven't watched any in ages. It got ruined for me after it changed from WWF!

My odd interest which a lot of people find really morbid, is that I LOVE visiting graveyards! I don't mean modern cemetries, I mean really old graveyards attached to old churches. I just find it fascinating to read the inscriptions and find whole families buried there and some of the strange things that are written there!!!!

You would be right at home with my mum Kazz, she has a fascination for churches and I spent a lot of my childhood visiting different ones, perhaps that's why it doesn't really fascinate me these days?

Don't think I have an odd interest Unless you can count collecting cats

With you on that one Alex. I love old graveyards. I also love looking around old derelict buildings and ruins. Dont know why really, just like the peace and quiet that surrounds them all.

Re: Odd interests

Mine is a passion for the maintenance and authenticity of old buildings. I don't mind if something gets used for a purpose other than originally intended, but I hate destruction and the damage/removal of architectural features.

Most people think I'm odd when I get passionate about lime plaster and damp proof courses . . . .
