Well done for getting the picture Moli! How long did he stay with you? Sometimes if they get engrossed they can stay quite a long time.
We had a family of green woodpeckers at a place I worked and they would often be around for 30 minutes or more, investigating the grounds for ants nests and other tasty delights.
Bet he appreciates a bit of tasty fat ball in this cold.

He has been around for weeks DM, but as soon as I tried to get a picture, he was gone, Must have been hungry today, as he didn't seem to mind me as much...That picture was taken through the window...

Arent they nice Moli. We have a few visit the orchard at work, only the greater spotted in the orchard, but the green ones in the field, very different feeders, have never seen a spotted on the ground, have never seen a green feed on a tree!
