Dry here aswell for the time being.

I've got Louise's christmas concert this afternoon so that should be good.

Going down into town this morning as i wanna get a couple of bedside lamps for mine and hubby's bedroom. It's nearly complete I just need to find someone who will shift the dressing table and wardrobe out the way for me to finish painting the wall.

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Thursday

Very windy here, but relatively bright.

Am off to our Christmas party this evening at a modern Polish restaurant in Kensington. So it's a military operation to get everything over to my Mum's house for the 2 nippers as she will be babysitting. It's handy as she's kind of mid way between us and the restaurant and the mini bus I've organized to collect and drop everyone off can just pick me up on the way in.

It's also handy as we are taking Dominik into the West End tomorrow to see the ballet version of The Snowman. It's designed for small kids so hopefully he should love it.

Means I'll be staying at my Mum's tonight and will meet hubby up in town tomorrow for the matinee. Domi's more excited about travelling on the tube than the show

See you all probably tomorrow evening!!

Yola - that all sounds lovely! have a great time
Luke - fight off that lurgi!
Nae - when you've finished decorating your house you can come & do mine!
Another neutral day here - bit windy but fine. I'm still plumptious with curry!
OH leaves at lunchtime for Portugal and will be back on Monday. What a lot of flippin' jet-setters there are here. It could be worse - it could be the Gobi desert!
Cricket is interesting. It's nice to get up at 7.30 and catch the whole of the evening session.
Hope everyone has a good day

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Thursday

Change of plan here, I had not realised that it was Em's dress rehearsal for the Christmas play this afternoon. Being in the top class at junior school means that they get all the 'big parts' and we had tears and panic this morning that she would miss the rehearsal if she went to the dentist So I phoned the dentist and begged and grovelled to be able to cancel the appointment and make another one They were very obliging but they don't now have another appointment until the 3rd of January
Hope the tooth holds out over Christmas

Ouch Fran/Em.
Maybe get in a stock of clove oil and suitable painkillers? And not too much out of the choccy tins for milady!
Hope she'll be OK - and that the play goes well.

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Thursday

Hello all I've had a nice day today - back at work tomorrow.
But today I have brought Dad a crossword thing from the puzzle shop 365 crosswords 1 a day on paper.
some aftershave - Givenchy gentlemen.
Mom a couple of books and some handcream Bromley's,
Sophie a couple of DVD's Katherine Tate show and Little Britain live.
Katie series 3 of Doctor Who - another sci fi fan there
Both of then chains Sophie gold and Katie white gold.
Jack has asked for and has been brought - a bingo game, jenga, and an adult space hooper.

Dad with a little help from Moi has brought Mom a pearl necklace (a posh gift box to put it in) tissue paper to wrap it in. And a teddy bear "from me to you"

Not much more to get now. Karen
