My old school!

Is for sale
Think it's been residential for many years but it's odd looking at it and thinking back ......
Hope the link works - I think it looks great .... I'm tempted ... probably not the best for the animals though

Here's the link if you're interested!

Re: My old school!

My old school was an old 4 storey building which was later converted into a Sports Centre. Now it lies empty with broken windows and is probably full of squatting pigeons Such a waste of a beautiful old building....

I too remember the navy skirt, white blouse, navy and pale blue striped tie, blazer and velour hat .........not forgetting the regulation navy blue knickers Those were the days!!

Your old school looks lovely DM.....

Re: My old school!

My MIL's school is now a museum! She attended Scotland Street school in Glasgow and it is has now been converted to one of those museums where you can see teachers and pupils dressed up and re-enacting lessons. How old would that make you feel.

Re: My old school!

My high school was closed and sold to a nearby university to be used as student dorms about 10 years ago. Makes me sad everytime the bus passes it...all those memories! We wore navy blue skirts (had to pass the below-the-knee test ...woe be unto you if you knelt down and the skirt didn't touch the ground!) and light blue blouses and navy blazers. This was a Catholic girls prep school; the nuns were strict but you got a excellet education!

Slightly more liberal DM - our skirts could be 2" above the ground in the 'kneeling down' test!
