Re: Flowering Yukka

A lot of people who seem them are very surprised as I don't think they flower very easily.

Mine seem to go mad though, not quite sure if they will next year when I move them to borders going down the garden.

Re: Flowering Yukka

I had some in the front garden that flowered from quite small plants (very dry, sunny situation). However I then moved them to a less sunny spot. One died quite quickly and the other is not too much of a happy bunny albeit surviving but not flowering. Just give them loads of TLC when you DO move them to make sure they survive.

Re: Flowering Yukka

They are fantastic Emma, there used to be an old wives tale, that they only flowered every 7 years! I have one in the garden, but it was in a pot, put it in the ground this year, hoping for flowers next year, do you feed them??

Re: Flowering Yukka

Moli they don't get ANY feed or water from me, I just leave them to their own devices. Also the soil that they are in isn't very deep and it is very dry there. It really is a tiny border as it is the back of my kitchen.

Will the indoor ones grow outside or is it a different variety?
