Goodbye polly

I hope i've put this in the right place , some of you might remember that i had a very old cat of 18,polly who recently had to have her thyroid removed, and as i last told you was doing very well, but unfortunatly ,im sorry to tell you that ,we had to take her back to the vet for a check up last week ,and he told us that her other thyroid now needed removing and that her kidneys ,wer'nt working either ,and that dispite our best effort she had'nt gained enough weight ,so with a very heavy heart we took the discision to have her pts,we miss her very much but know it was the right thing to do ,so rest in peace little polly till we meet again .

Re: Goodbye polly

Awww, so sorry
You could pop her picture and a little tribute in 'Gone But Not Forgotten' if you like.

It's not an easy decision is it? but it is our final responsibility and our final privilege to prevent them beeing in pain or in fear.

Re: Goodbye polly

Hello
Yes I recall your posts and te health problem with Polly, its hard isn;t it but we do the best we can for them and with your actions you've given her the final gift, peace sprinkled with love.

I know its hard but harder still when its your cat, you knew her better than anyone else, her way of headbutting you, holding your hand down with her paw as she lay on your computer desk the way she had a special "miaow" just for you. The fact she rolled over to say hello as you came down the path.......Polly will stay with you forever safe in your heart and dreams.

Take care Karen

I can't say it better than Karen has. Polly will always be a part of your life . . . treasure the memories of the good times.

Hugs.
