DM - you won't hear till much later as the appt isn't until 4pm!!! But I'll let everyone know as soon as I can!

Today it's off to B&Q to get Dominik some more green sand for his sand box - he's tipped most of it out God-knows-where I'll also be buying a large pot for my remaining 9 geranium plants, and maybe a perrenial as a centre-piece for it. I'll have to get one of the shop lads to load it onto the trolley/into the car though

Cleaners are here today - which means Dominik will be following them around the house chattering to them and 'helping'. They're so patient with him!!

And then it's off to the hozzie for 4pm - parking is an utter pig so I will have to leave about 3 to ensure I can find a space!!!! In the covering letter it said 'no small children' in the ultrasound room. Well, what do they want me to do with Domi in the interim, tie him to the railings outside like a puppy??? I don't think so - so I'm getting my belligerent head on just in case

Love and hugs to Nat, I'll be thinking of you lots today and hoping things start working out.

Re: Daily Shred Thread / Friday

Morning all,

I finally got a good night's sleep, in fact I got almost 11 hours! My boyfriend pretty much chased me up to bed after House last night Bless his socks. Going to ring the rescue again today to see how they're doing with kittens. I know they have some litters in, but those are either waiting to be old enough, or on their vet's clearance.

Our friend is also looking for a kitten, but he works strange hours so I've been put in charge of ringing the rescue periodically to find out how they're doing on litters, while he will be the one to drive us all there when they have kittens available.

We decided to get kittens before Christmas, but have since put it off for various reasons (the holidays, then Ninja's socialisation which started coming on in leaps and bounds, now the rescue), so I'm hoping that my patience will pay off sometime soon! Before I explode

Oh, and a bit of news about Ninja that I did not want to start a new thread for (given how many threads about Ninja there already are ) - the other day I bent down to stroke him and he reared up on his hind legs to push the top of his head against my hand! It was adorable (and reminded me of Kim's Sidney ) and felt like such a brilliant thing for him to be doing given how scared he was only a year ago!

Yola - Good luck this afternoon!

Nat - Good luck!

Kazz - Do let us know

Absolutely glorious day here today.

Been birthday pressie shopping for my daughter, she'll be 7 in a couple of weeks. Bought her a couple of skirts and tops and a Barbie fold down scooter but still got a couple more things to get. Thomas is going down his friends after school today so I'm taking Louise into town to get her a Spring/Summer jacket as she hasn't got one.

Speaking of birthdays, what is the latest, coolest thing for twelve-year olds at the moment? I need presents for my nephews, and they're too old for my taste in toys.

I'd go with Lego. You can never go wrong with Lego. Alternatively - ring their parents and ask them. Matt's family rings me about presents for Random all the time, it's not rude and it ensures a present he really enjoys
