On Sunday we went to the Watercress Line to ride on the steam trains. I have to say, from being a bit luke-warm about it I ended up having a great time!!!
Here's Dominik, looking a bit stunned at the huge burst of steam just released by the locomotive . . . but he behaved himself inmpeccably and today has been glued to the PC with his dad looking at the video clips of the trains on the watercress line website. I think Ken'll take him to the 'Thomas' day for his birthday in August - I'll be waddling far too much then to spend the day looking at trains!!!
And today, we walked into town to see the Reading Football Club team parade their cup around the town. They did the whole open top bus thing, and the air horns and yelling and cheering scared the pants of Domi, but there was many a damp eye amongst the more mature Reading supporters. It was quite a lovely sight to behold, and quite a pleasure to see the town coming together like that!!
