Two more pics, then I'll leave it for another day maybe.

This fat lump could be almost anywhere!

Great book DM. I love imaginative and thoughtful present-givers!!!

What's Greece's record on cat welfare? Is it like most Med. countries and a bit lax or are they ok?

Not great . They are not cruel, just thoughtless and neutering is pretty rare. All the places I've been have 'missions' (often run by British ex-pats) which run neutering programmes.
We've seen the cats waiting in the harbour and being thrown the tiniest of the catch lots of times though.
Think the attitude is very similar to how it was here up to - what? - between 50 and 40 years ago? Cats found all over the place, some indoors, some out, not a lot of variety in terms of food, no neutering, surplus kittens drowned and cats leading short but free lives.
