Panic with Sal to the vets

Well just had a panic had to rush Sal to the vets, between 5.45 and 6.10 she "broke/split" the nail on her back left foot she couldn't put her foot to the floor panic ensued got vets appointment for 6.30pm; the vet looked at the nail then removed the "shell" black sheath part of the nail, apparently she was lucky as it hadn't gone down to the quick or nail bed, and thats all it took the vets fingers and off it came, no painkiller nothing I held Sal's head and the vet held her foot and off it came she can put her foot to the floor happiness.

I also discovered that on Sal's vets "card/computer record thingy" are the words, "The nicest Staff in the practice, very gentle." I am so proud, its been there since she was about 1 apparently.

So all's well that ends well.

Karen

Karen I am so glad Sal is all ok.

And as for "The nicest Staff in the world" I don't expect anything less

Poor Sal
My Mum's dog had something similar (but not as acute) recently. The offending nail-shell fell off by itself!
Nicest staff must be the nicest dog! Well done Sal and Kazz

She is so soft so very gentle. A lovely dog to spend time with, just like her sister Tess

Sal sitting Tess ball holding in the summer.

Glad she is ok, nails are a sod when they split, what a good girl she was, even if her mom did panic!
Dawn.
