It was so silly Mags - she was playing on her PS2 eye toy game (Tom cat will know what I mean) anyway it's a game on the playstation & it's interactive, she was swaying from side-to-side and her cousin holding her around the waist. When the game ended her cousin let go & Ashleigh fell twisting her leg round as she fell. She said she heard it snap. It still makes me feel sick now to think back to the pain she was in. It was on a Sunday evening & she was admitted after x-ray/plastering. She was really distressed & had to have nurofen & morphine. But once they controlled the pain (after 24hours) she was ok. It was a spiral fracture, basically she had broke the bone & twisted at the same time so it was like a spiral, you could see on the x-ray as it went round.

8 weeks total.

She was total non weight bearing for 6 weeks. She had a wheelchair, which she loved.

Re: Ashleigh (non cat)

worst bit was when she came out of plaster, her ankle was huge & the swelling took a couple of weeks to go down, I thought she would be permanently troubled by it, but after some physio she was ok, it took a long time, before she could run & play again, but on sports day (July) she ran all around the field & I was so proud of her.

Anyway she's fine now & just to prove that she is all ok, here she is
